The community team provides a coordinated service for all tamariki and rangatahi with extra needs. Clinics operate out of Taranaki Base Hospital and Hāwera Hospital.

Services we provide
We provide a range of outpatient and community-based services for the Taranaki Region.
Services include:
- Paediatric Clinics
- Visiting Specialist Clinics
- Specialist Nursing Services - Community and Developmental
- Child Therapy – Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech-Language Therapy and Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy
- Social Work
- Psychology – Neurodevelopmental Assessment; Intervention
- B4 School Checks including Vision and Hearing Assessment.
- Whānau Pakari – A Community Based Assessment and Intervention Programme to help children and young people overcome weight issues.

Referral information
You can self-refer your child or your healthcare provider, plunket nurse, school or special education service can refer you.
